and fun member experience for all of the members of our District.

Special Note AREA CONTESTS: Recap of message sent in January by Ross Mackay: Speech Contests when there are 4 or fewer assigned Clubs in one Area
In accordance with the 2012 Speech Contest Rulebook, when there are 4 or fewer assigned Clubs in one Area, the District has the option of allowing the two highest placed available contestants from each Club to compete in the Area contest.
Contrary to the statement made to the District Executive Meeting on January 7, the District has decided to implement that option.
Therefore, if your Club is one of only 4 (or fewer) Clubs in your Area, only the two highest placed contestants from your Club may compete in the Area Contest.
It should be noted however that, as there are no Divisions in District 60 with 4 or fewer Areas, only the winner of the Area Contest will be eligible to compete at the Division Contest. |
