District Executives
Lt Gov. Education & Training 2010-2011
Experience Success Have you set an education goal for yourself this year? What is your goal? Whether it's to attain your first education award, the Competent Communicator (CC), or the ultimate, the Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM), you need to set your goal and then make sure you're taking the steps necessary to attain it. Work with your c;ub's Vice-President, Education to make sure you get the speaking and/or leadership roles you need to reach your goal and Experience Success! The ALB Challenge Earlier in this Toastmasters year, we identified all those members who have attained their Competent Leader (CL) and have served at least 6 months as a club officer. Those names were sent to the Area Governors, who were asked to communicate with their Area clubs and tell you about this challenge. If your name was on this list, and you attended Club Officer Training while in office, and you participated in developing your Club Success Plan, then you qualify for this challenge. All that's left for you to attain your Advanced Leader Bronze (ALB) is to present two modules from the Successful Club Series and then submit the paperwork to Toastmasters International (TI). The question was raised: What if I earned the "old" CL (equivalent to today's ALB), do I have to do the ALB again? The answer from TI is "No". It's time to work on your Advanced Leader Silver (ALS). Please refer to any Competent Communication, Advanced Communication or Competent Leader manual, to check on the requirements for your ALS. There will be a special prize awarded to one member whose name was on the ALB Challenge list, who earns their ALB by June 30, 2011. All those who achieve this goal by that date will have their names placed in a draw to determine the winner. I invite you to Experience Success with The ALB Challenge. | |
